June 6, 2026
A San Clemente couple was arrested after a Simi Valley police probe led to a major drug seizure, with ketamine and cash found in the suspect’s car during a probation check.
Officials searched the couple’s San Clemente home and storage units, uncovering a large quantity of illegal drugs and about $2.1 million in value in cash and assets.
Authorities allege the suspects were manufacturing illicit drugs at their home and transporting and selling narcotics across Orange, Los Angeles, and Ventura counties.
Recovered items included a mix of counterfeit Adderall pills labeled as methamphetamine, Ecstasy pills, kilograms of ketamine, fentanyl, cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms, and a total cash and precious-metal value of over $13,750.
The two suspects, Jason Klausmeyer, 45, and April Baird, 39, both of San Clemente, were booked into Ventura County Jail on charges related to possession and transportation of ketamine for sale, with further charges possible as the investigation continues.
