Apple unveils AppleCare One Family, a six-member device protection plan priced at $49.99 per month, set to begin on September 14 and integrating with Family Sharing.

The Family plan extends from the prior AppleCare One Individual option, which covered three devices for $19.99 monthly with $5.99 per extra device, and automatically includes eligible devices in the Family Sharing group at no extra cost.

In addition to protection, Apple highlights bundling options like Apple One Family at $28 per month for up to six people, including 200GB iCloud, Apple TV Plus, Apple Arcade, and Apple Music.

Users can remove unused devices via Settings > General > AppleCare & Warranty; new devices are added automatically if not removed.

The announcement was made during Apple’s Surprise and Shine event and the plan will be accessible in device settings starting September 14.

AppleCare One Family includes AppleCare Plus benefits: unlimited repairs for accidents, 24/7 priority support, and theft/loss coverage up to twice per year for iPhones, iPads, and Apple Watches.

The event also showcased new hardware, including the iPhone 18 Pro models and the foldable iPhone Duo, priced from $1,199 to $1,999.

The Family plan automatically includes all eligible devices in the Family Sharing group, including most devices under four years old and any new Apple devices acquired thereafter, with no extra cost.

New devices like the iPhone Duo are added automatically to the Family plan without additional fees.

AppleCare Plus and AppleCare One plans remain available, with pricing varying by the devices protected.

Covered devices include AirPods, Apple TV, Apple Vision Pro, Apple Watch, HomePod, iPad, iPhone, Mac, Studio displays, and more, with coverage extending to all devices for up to six people.
