FURIA defeated Nemiga 3-2 in the PGL Masters Bucharest best-of-five final, claiming their second consecutive title less than two weeks after winning the Thunderpick World Championship.

Both teams had recovered from 1-2 starts in the Swiss stage and entered the final with 5-2 series records; the $1.25 million prize pool included $225,000 in player prize money for the winner, plus an equal share for its club.

Nemiga arrived in the final on a strong run, having beaten Vitality 2-0 in the semifinal for its fourth consecutive sweep and eighth straight map win; it was the team’s first Big Event final.

The finalists had not met earlier in the event and had similar overall map records: Nemiga stood at 10-4 and FURIA at 11-5, with both teams winning every match after losing in Swiss Rounds 2 and 3.

The series began with a dramatic map exchange: Nemiga dominated Ancient 13-2, FURIA answered on Dust2 and Cache, and Nemiga edged Mirage 13-11 after FURIA came back from a 10-3 deficit to force a tie.

FURIA ultimately secured the trophy with a 13-6 win on Nuke, pulling away after a close first half.

YEKINDAR was central to FURIA’s victory, averaging a 1.56 rating and topping the scoreboard on three maps with 82 kills; he cautioned that fans should not expect the same level at every tournament.

YEKINDAR credited FURIA’s clutch wins, effective play after planting the bomb and strong trading—including yuurih’s rounds on Dust2—with helping the team overcome MOUZ in a difficult, chaotic semifinal.

KSCERATO said FURIA’s improved results reflect strong individual performances and growing confidence, with the team capitalizing on openings and benefiting from some luck.

KSCERATO also said the demanding schedule has left the team exhausted, but FURIA is giving its best, playing more by feel and drawing motivation from FalleN’s upcoming retirement.

Molodoy’s eye issue has improved and his confidence is returning, KSCERATO said, crediting supportive teammates who do not dwell on mistakes; molodoy’s strong performances have been valuable to FURIA.

The schedule continues with Vitality and MOUZ playing for third place on October 31, followed by the November 2 Valve ranking cutoff for PGL Major Singapore invites and the start of IEM Beijing soon after.
