HOTU Wins Tesla Cup, Raises Singapore Major Qualification Odds to 73.3%
October 29, 2026
HOTU won the RLG Tesla Cup, boosting its estimated chance of qualifying for the Singapore Major to 73.3%, according to HLTV’s invite predictor, ahead of the final pre-cutoff tournament.
The team reached the final without dropping a map, beating Luminosity, B8 and GamerLegion 2-0, then defeated GamerLegion 2-0 again in the grand final, taking Dust2 13-6 and Nuke 13-9.
Dmitry “mizu” Kondratev led the Dust2 win with 24 kills, 140 ADR and a 2.40 rating, while David “n0rb3r7” Danielyan recorded a 1.69 rating on Nuke.
Danielyan said HOTU had stopped focusing on qualification after mixed results at earlier LANs and missed chances at the 1win and Stake events; the Tesla Cup win felt like breaking a tournament-winning “curse.”
He credited a three-month bootcamp for the team’s progress, adding that the new lineup has more firepower and includes the less-experienced dwushka.
HOTU initially missed its match veto after misunderstanding the event schedule and believing its match began at 18:00, until an administrator alerted the team.
A travel problem also threatened to keep HOTU from the final, but Relog arranged replacement tickets so the team could attend media day and compete in Moscow.
HOTU will travel to Moscow for GLuck Moscow Cyber Games 2026, its last tournament before the Major invite cutoff; ahead of the event, Danielyan expected the team to benefit from being warmed up and described the field as a battle for a Major place without a clear favorite.
Envy and Luminosity were eliminated from the qualification race after early exits, though team placements could still change as other events conclude.
FaZe secured qualification with a third-place finish, while B8’s missed opportunity against FaZe left it with a 12.0% estimated chance of qualifying.
