KT and Seoul National University Hospital sign a business agreement to develop a medical AI platform that applies AI across clinical care, with the goal of creating a standard AI model for the public medical field.

The partners will link KT’s AI platform with the hospital’s digital infrastructure and back a Group Integrated Digital Transformation Platform to connect research, testing, and commercialization.

KT will lead planning, development, verification, and commercialization of AI-enabled platforms that integrate AI, cloud, and data, while Seoul National University Hospital will identify clinical and research tasks, provide medical guidance, and evaluate effectiveness.

They plan to demonstrate and push forward government policy tasks around AI-native hospitals, including the development of AI-based clinical decision support and improvements in hospital work efficiency.

The initiative aims to expand the validated medical AI model to other public medical institutions and broaden platform-based collaboration with public-sector medical institutions.
