Keysight Unveils 224G Portfolio for Next-Gen AI Data Center Interconnect Testing at OFC
March 17, 2026
Keysight is unveiling an expanded 224G portfolio at the Optical Fiber Communication Conference to showcase end-to-end electrical and optical testing workflows for next-generation data center interconnects.
The 224G test portfolio is designed to support AI data center interconnects running at 224G electrical lanes and 1.6T optical modules.
Electrical testing is addressed through the N1091DJPA software for electrical transmitter validation, integrated with DCA-X wide-bandwidth oscilloscopes and DCA-M clock recovery modules, featuring application-driven workflows and half-rate clocking configurations.
Optical metrics emphasized include TDECQ and Codeword Error Ratio to assess distortion and noise in four-level modulation, aiding development from early design to pre-production testing.
A multimode testing solution is provided by the N1096 multimode DCA-M oscilloscope, delivering 224Gbps (112 GBd PAM4) capability for short-reach data center optical links, supporting transition from research to manufacturing readiness.
AI workloads are driving higher-speed interconnects, larger GPU clusters, and greater validation needs across development and manufacturing lifecycles.
The portfolio includes optical transmitter conformance software (N1095DJCA) on the Digital Communication Analyser platform, compatible with N1093 DCA-M sampling oscilloscopes to evaluate high-speed signals beyond conventional bandwidth limits.
Dr. Joachim Peerlings of Keysight notes that the new solutions span electrical and optical domains and scale from R&D to manufacturing, reinforcing reliability of AI data center networks.
