Dyson has unveiled the Spot+Scrub AI, a wet-and-dry robot vacuum that combines AI-powered stain detection with a 12-point heated water system for stain removal and a self-emptying docking station.

Building on the 2023 360 Vis Nav model and debut at IFA 2025 in Berlin, the Spot+Scrub AI Robot is designed to autonomously spot stains and clean floors.

Priced at $1,199, the Spot+Scrub AI is available now through Dyson’s stores and website, as well as retailers like Amazon and Best Buy, matching the price of its predecessor.

Dyson also introduced the wet-and-dry cleaner Dyson Clean+Wash Hygiene, featuring a microfiber roller, a compact 4.4-inch profile for under-furniture cleaning, a hot-air drying/self-cleaning docking station, and an $499 price tag.

Hands-on reviews note the dock is large and the overall design aesthetics diverge from Dyson’s signature look for both the robot and dock.

The Spot+Scrub AI’s dock includes a bagless cyclonic self-emptying dustbin capable of storing up to 100 days of dust and separate reservoirs for clean (0.6 gallons) and dirty water (0.55 gallons); the system is included with the $1,199 price and immediate availability.

The robot’s cleaning roller self-cleans with heated water and extends to reach tight corners (up to 1.6 inches), while supporting object avoidance and integration with the MyDyson app.

The PencilWash wet vacuum will be available starting Tuesday, with both new products part of Dyson’s broader wet-cleaning lineup announced at the Dyson Soho Store.

The Spot+Scrub shifts to lidar-based navigation, uses AI to recognize and avoid obstacles like socks and wires, and employs green laser scanning to identify stains and verify cleaning coverage.

Historically, Dyson robovacs have faced skepticism next to its vacuum lineup, and The Verge will review the Spot+Scrub to assess improvements.

The Spot+Scrub includes a self-cleaning roller mop and a multifunction dock that drains and refills water tanks, empties the dirt bin, and cleans the roller during charging.

The AI stain-detection system can identify 200 substances, using lidar room scanning, camera vision, and an HD camera to detect stains and guide up to 15 targeted passes when needed.
