The UAE Ministry of Education has rolled out 2026–27 curriculum updates across cycles, including Arabic, Islamic Education, and a new unified Artificial Intelligence and Technology subject that merges the former CCDI and AI curricula.

A new unified subject, Artificial Intelligence and Technology, aligns with the National AI Curriculum Framework and reorganizes content following the merger of CCDI and AI programs.

Science and math reforms include a restructured science curriculum for senior grades with distinct General and Advanced tracks, updated guides and assessment norms, and a standardized mathematics sequence for Grade 12 across tracks, along with a reduction in weekly math periods for Grades 3–4.

Moral and social studies now incorporates Al San’—the national social etiquette and values program—into Moral Education, with cycle-specific guides and grade-level differentiation.

Language instruction changes include altered language-of-instruction in some private schools, English becoming the medium for Grade 9 science and mathematics in the Advanced track, enhanced Arabic sequencing and fresh assessment baselines, and the elimination of Chinese in kindergarten through Grade 2.

The national package features comprehensive updates for 2026–27, including science restructuring, discontinuation of Chinese in early years, and the creation of a unified AI and Technology subject through the CCDI–AI merger.

Other subject updates add new sport units and an Active Girls module in Physical Education, expanded family-oriented projects in Business Studies, and cycle-specific Visual Arts guides, with Music resources in Cycle 1 linked to Arabic content.

English language updates introduce revised Cycle 1 guides with improved progression between Grades 4 and 5, designate the Advanced Track as the primary resource in Cycle 2, and plan aligned resource development for Cycle 3.
